Event Description

Have you ever wanted to walk or run for a cause that was related to minority health issues or mental health? 

Well now’s your chance to make your goal a reality. 

We are excited to introduce you to Rooting on Me, Inc's Big Steppers Team. 

You're invited you to support Rooting on Me, Inc. at Collective Intiaitives Inc’s  2nd annual Wellness Walk & Run on Sunday, May 21, 2023, 8 AM - 11:30 AM CST.  We're gathering in the Dan Ryan Woods - North Picnic Grove 15 at 8300 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL 60620 to walk, run, and socialize together.

This partnership not only highlights the positive affects of physical & social self care on the body, mind, & spirit, it also emphasizes the importance of having resources & spaces that allow individuals to grow & develop healthy businesses & communities.

 

We want you to be a part of the fun and join our team, as a volunteer, walker or runner!

Step 1: Register for the event 

Select "Volunteer for Race Day" if volunteering or "Joining a Existing Team/Sponsor Group: Any Distance" if walking/running

Step 2: Share donation page on all social media pages by copying link

Step 3: Send personal invites to family, friends and colleagues to support you by donating or cheering you on the day of Race!

Rooting on Me, Inc. mission is to provide tools and support that enhance the mental & emotional health of youth & families by breaking generational cycles of poverty and violence through healthy self care practices, family support systems & community engagement. We envision a world where quality of life is at its highest and most important to every individual regardless of generation, financial status, or educational background. 

Collective Initiatives Inc believes that mental health is an essential element to the advancement of Black and Latinx people and communities. It affects how we think, feel, and act. But it doesn't stop there, physical health and social engagement are also key components!
